On Like Mother Like Daughter

Recently while on the way to pick up the Niece, the Munchkin and I came to a stop sign and prepared to make a right hand turn.

Two women, each about 400 pounds and neither standing taller than 5'2 took their rights as pedestrians for granted and mosseyed across my vehicles path at a leisurely pace-- in fact, I'm pretty sure I saw a snail speed past them.

My daughter looked at them, then glanced at me before looking back to them and saying, "haven't you ever heard of sidewalks, people?"

I swear, I don't know where she gets it from.

Really.

  1. I can't recall what right at this moment, but the other night at dinner an incredibly sarcastic comment exited my youngest daughter's mouth directed at my older daughter. It was exactly what I would have said, with the same tone and everything. It was hysterical. I love kids. Maybe sarcasm isn't exactly what I want them to pick up, but I love that they're witty and can see humor in life.

  2. I thought for sure an inappropriate 'weight-related' comment was coming from your kids, that really wasn't too bad and worth a laugh. Heavy or not, hurry when you cross the st. peeps.
